Professor Ashutosh Goel selected for “2017 Vittorio Gottardi Prize” by International Commission on Glass
Professor Ashutosh Goel has been selected for the 2017 Vittorio Gottardi Prize by International Commission on Glass (ICG). The Gottardi Prize was initiated by ICG in 1987 in memory of Prof. V. Gottardi (former ICG President and affiliated with the University of Padua). The Gottardi Prize is one of the most prestigious prizes in the field of glass science and is awarded annually to young people (Age limit: 40 years) with outstanding achievements in the field of glass in research and development, teaching, writing, management or commerce.
The ICG (International Commission on Glass; http://www.icglass.org) is a non-profit international Society of national scientific and technical organizations with particular interests in glass science and technology. It was founded in 1933 and has grown to become the recognized world-wide organization in the field of glass with presently 37 member organizations (countries) bringing together the world’s most respected universities, scientific institutions, companies of the glass industry and allied organizations.
