Rutgers University offers a Master of Engineering program as well as a certificate program in materials science and engineering at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ. The programs are administered by the Deptartment of Materials Science and Engineering.
Rutgers teaches two courses at Armament University in the fall and spring semesters, and one course in the summer. Fall and Spring Semesters consist of 14 weeks of course work, plus a final exam in the 15th week. Summer semester consists of 12 weeks of course work, plus a final exam in the 13th week.

All courses are taught in the 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. time slot, with each lecture having a duration of 180 minutes.
Fall 2015Wednesday - Theory of Solid-State Materials 16:635:503 (21261)
Basic principles of classical and quantum mechanics, as well as the experimental basis for introduction of quantum postulates. Application of these concepts to various physical phenomena to develop an understanding of solid-state material behavior.

For students who are not employees of Picatinny Arsenal, special arrangements will be made to allow them to enter Picatinny Arsenal.
A student enrolled in the Masters program at Picatinny can also take courses at the main campus of Rutgers. The tuition and the computer fee are the same, (approximately $2,442 for a 3 credit course).
Registration is now open for Fall 2016. The deadline for registration is September 2, 2016.
Term bills are due on August 16, 2016.
