Hisato Yamaguchi Wins Prestigious JSPS Fellowship

Hisato Yamaguchi, a post-doctoral associate in Professor Chhowalla's group, has won a prestigious fellowship from the  Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. The JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research Abroad is highly competitive and rarely given to postdoctoral researchers outside of the top US institutions such as Stanford, MIT, and UC Berkeley.  In addition, Dr. Yamaguchi was awarded the fellowship outright, without the normally required interview.

This is a great honor to Hisato and a major acknowldegement of the the quality of research in MSE at Rutgers.  Although researchers can take their fellowships to any institution worldwide, we are pleased that Dr. Yamaguchi has chosen to continuing his studies here at Rutgers under the guidance of Professor Chhowalla.
