The award presentation was made on 2 May 2021 in Richard Weeks Hall on Busch Campus. Malcolm G. McLaren (MGM) Distinguished Lecture Symposium was held on Thursday April 28th. Dr. Martin Harmer was honored as the Distinguished Lecturer and the featured highlight of the 2022 McLaren Lecture Symposium. More than 100 faculty, students, alumni, and friends attended. The MSE Senior Poster Competition was an excellent opportunity to review departmental research.

MSE Night 2022 took place on 22 March from 4-7 pm and attracted >80 first-year students. In the lobby, 3D printing, glass cloth thermal stability, Nitinol shape memory alloy, Gorilla Glass, and fluorescent glass demos were conducted. Also, 3D SLA (Prof. Haber), STEM (Prof. Batson), Corning Glass (Prof. Goel), Hologram (Prof. O'Carroll), Hybrid Micro/Nano Manufacturing (Prof. Singer MAE) lab tours were offered. The event was a great success.
