Materials Science and Engineering Student Organizations

Materials Science and Engineering majors can participate in student organizations specific to their major. Students gain leadership and professional experience along with participation in national collegiate competitions.

The Material Advantage student program for undergraduate and graduate materials science and engineers offers opportunities for networking, personal development, and the long-term benefits of building your career foundation.

Get involved in your Material Advantage chapter to meet other engineering students and professionals. It’s a great way to make new friends and start forming a network of contacts that can help you throughout your career.

Keramos seeks to promote and emphasize scholarship and character in the thoughts of students in ceramics, to stimulate mental development, and to promote interest in the professional aspects of ceramic engineering, technology, and science.

MSE GSA provides a forum to further the social, cultural, and academic interests of the students of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

The Rutgers Student Chapter of SPE is focused on getting students introduced to the world of plastics and connected with professionals in the industry. The chapter meets regularly to provide education and outreach, network, and discuss the field of plastics. Meetings with the professional section are often accompanied by poster presentations, both from students and from those employed in the industry.
